County supervisors of elections across Florida praised the selection of one of their own today for secretary of state, saying Gov.-elect Charlie Crist signaled that he wants to restore public confidence in the balloting process by choosing Pasco County Supervisor Kurt Browning.
"I think he's an outstanding choice," said Fred Galey, the Brevard County supervisor of elections. "He's been in the business a long time and he's smart."
