THE MERITT ISLAND NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE
Full Description:
The Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, a 22-square mile wetlands area, is home to over 300 species of birds. Other residents in the refuge are ghost crabs, loggerhead and green sea turtles, reptiles, raccoons and bobcats.
Visit the Blackpoint Wildlife Drive, a
seven mile, one-way road, will provide you with breathtaking views of these amazing creatures. Numbered stops along the drive correspond to numbered paragraphs in a
leaflet you can pick up.
